Browsing Google US patent search I came across this device filed by Deborah A. Jacobs in 1997, a 'GLANDULAR STIMULATOR DEVICE AND METHOD' patent number 5853362.
It appears to resemble a Feeldoe. All I can think of is those stuffy patent clerks pouring over this request and deciding whether or not to issue a patent.
